Good Morning,
If you are one of those people that like to give yo after a couple of failed attempts then this issue is for you.
2025 have been the year of underdog in sports, Rory McIlroy finally won a major after 11 years to complete his dream of a career slam.
Tottenham finally won a trophy after years of trying and they did it in an incredible way by winning an European one first.
PSG owners finally get to call themselves champions of Europe after years of trying, they invested time and money into the project and sure the investment paid off but one tournament always eluded them which was the UCL and they finally won it on Saturday.
Marc Marquez is a 2025 MotoGP title contender. Those words would have been unthinkable to the eight-time world champion two seasons ago when he was living a "nightmare" after suffering broken bones, and severe concussion, and needing a number of operations. The six-time MotoGP champion had not won a race for nearly 1,000 days - something that would have seemed impossible as he won four consecutive championships from 2016 to 2019.
There are so many stories out there that has really been inspiring.
Everyone goes through a lag phase and you can choose to give up or decide this is where champions are made, the problem is most people never get past the lag phase and the dream dies.
Here is the thing right, been born as one of the members of the lucky sperm club is great because you have abundant resources available for you but it comes with some limitations, you have to live a certain way and most times you are really limited to what you can venture in to.
It’s quite the opposite for an underdog, I keep talking about unfair advantages and I do believe everyone has it, no one was born the same so there is something that set you apart from everyone else, instead of complaining about how you were not born into wealth… use that to drive you, you hate being poor, it’s like the motivation you need to strive to be great.
There is a quote from Bobby that I love in billions, it goes like this… “Hate is world most abundant resource, It’s endlessly renewable” I completely agree.
I won’t consider myself as a member of the lucky sperm club and neither will I consider myself poor, I don’t have a trust fund but neither did I have to worry about food, shelter or clothing my parents provided that and they grew up poor.
My parents are a good example of not letting your upbringing determine where you end up, they could have chose to remain victims of circumstances but they didn’t, both are at the very Top of their respective field as civil servants and have at least 1 business on the side and they both had to sponsor themselves through school.
Next time you feel life is unfair, just remember… it was not supposed to be fair in the first place, and you can’t change that but what you can change is how you build a character that will help you to become successful in the future.
Have the courage to be different!
Be the crazy one!
I don’t know if this was helpful in anyway but I hope it was.
thank you for reading, have a lovely week.
